I have been wanting to do a style post for a while and have a few things to share, but today I will keep it simple. Just like this product does. While I was pregnant, I decided to take advantage of the pregnancy hormones and grow my very short hair out as well. Now that my hair is well down the middle of my back, I found myself either putting my hair in a pony tail or what a hairdresser I used to go to disdainfully called, a "chip clip." I liked the high top bun look on Pinterest, but with my thick hair I could not put enough hairpins to keep my bun from sliding down into a lump. Or worse, hairpins flying out... remember this cartoon character?
Enter good ole Goody hair products. Their spin pins are really excellent. They come in two sizes short and long. I bought the short and they hold excellently! What you do is pull your hair back, twist and coil around into a bun and then screw them in! I usually do two pins on the top bun at say 11:00 and 2:00 and then one on the bottom at 6:00. That bun ain't going nowhere! These things are great, they give me a more stylish hairdo for less effort than it takes to make a "messy" ponytail. And what mom out there would like to look a little more polished in the 2 seconds we actually get to do the polishing!
Speaking of polish, in the coming weeks, I will do a review on a gel nail polish kit I bought yesterday. I used it and now have lovely shiny nails. I will report back to see actually how long they last!
